Using clinical samples obtained through the Immune Tolerance Network, the Kwok Lab employs second-generation tetramer reagents to sensitively detect and characterize autoreactive CD4+ T cells. Researchers use flow cytometry and RNA sequencing to examine changes in the frequency, phenotype, and transcriptomic profiles of autoreactive CD4+ T cells over the course of type 1 diabetes immunotherapy.
