Kayla is a graduate student in the UW immunology program. She got her BS in microbiology from UMass Amherst in 2012 and then worked as a research technician and lab manager at UC San Francisco in Dr. Mark Anderson’s lab studying mechanisms of central T cell tolerance. She then moved into the biotech industry, working in pharmacology/toxicology and discovery immunology until deciding to pursue her PhD.
