What COVID-19 is Teaching Us About the Immune System

BRI president Jane Buckner, MD and principal investigator Adam Lacy-Hulbert, PhD, presented their work in a Town Hall Seattle program called What COVID-19 is Teaching Us About the Immune System. In addition to examining how the immune system is implicated in both autoimmune disease and complications from COVID, they discussed how vaccines work, BRI research into who is at risk for severe COVID disease, and studies of how the immune system reacts to COVID and other viruses – as well as how we may learn how to stop viruses from infecting cells. If you missed the program, you can see a recording via Town Hall Seattle, on Facebook or YouTube.
