Background Information
Amir Figueroa graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007 and received a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology. Immunology has always been the focus of every place he has been a part of, specializing in advanced cell sorting and flow cytometry at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center and the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in NYC. His family relocated to Seattle in 2021 when he was senior researcher of the flow cytometry team at Lyell Immunopharma working to reprogram T-cells for immunotherapies. He is also the director of immunology shared resources at BRI.
