Andrew Burich, DVM

Director, Animal Resources; Attending Veterinarian, Animal Resources

Dr. Burich earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin — Madison. He later completed a postdoctoral fellowship in laboratory animal medicine at the University of Washington’s Department of Comparative Medicine, where he earned a thesis-based master’s degree in comparative medicine. In 2002, he achieved board certification through the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.

Before joining BRI in 2005, Dr. Burich served as a senior clinical veterinarian and assistant professor in the Department of Comparative Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. He continues to share his expertise as an affiliate instructor in the Department of Comparative Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

At BRI, Dr. Burich serves as director of animal resources and attending veterinarian.
