Advisory Board

Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI) is an independent, nonprofit organization guided by community leaders who serve on the Advisory Board responsible to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health board. They are dedicated to achieving BRI’s mission to predict, prevent, reverse and cure diseases of the immune system by ensuring its ongoing research excellence.

Faculty

Scientific leadership is shared among the principal investigators who head their own laboratory research programs and work as interdisciplinary teams, which encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas. BRI's research teams include immunologists, geneticists, molecular biologists, bioinformaticians and physicians from around the world.

Administration

BRI is led by President Jane Buckner, MD, and Executive Director Margaret McCormick, PhD.
