Michael Baughn

Michael Baughn is originally a Californian, but has spent most of his life in Mount Vernon, Wash.  He is a University of Washington undergraduate pursuing a degree in cellular, molecular, and developmental biology. Michael’s primary function in the Ravits Laboratory is performing quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and cloning experiments to confirm differences in gene expression. He plans to expand his laboratory experience for one year after his graduation before pursuing graduate school. Outside of school and the lab, Michael enjoys rock climbing and mountaineering in the nearby Cascade mountains, and cooking delicious foods.
