Chaussabel Laboratory
Systems Immunology represents the merger of systems biology, state-of-the-art human immunology and medical innovation. The goal is to use high throughput molecular profiling technologies to assess the status of the immune system and more specifically use these approaches for the early detection of disease, complications and response to therapy. Systems Immunology aims to further the goals of personalized medicine.
The program structure includes: 1) the genomics platform generating high quality data; 2) the biostatistics team in charge of study design and data analysis; 3) the bioinformatics team leading data mining; 4) the information technology team heading up software development and database administration.
Systems Immunology brings high throughput profiling technologies and bioinformatics to assist all of the science programs at BRI. Dr. Chaussabel and his team also collaborate with Baylor Institute for Immunology Research in Dallas, Texas. The team engages in collaboration with other scientists in Seattle and beyond.
