Array Core Laboratory
The Array Core Laboratory is an Affymetrix microarray core laboratory. Using standard Affymetrix expression microarrays, the laboratory allows scientists to study the expression of up to 42,000 genes from a single specimen. In addition, this facility has experience with high resolution genotyping, differential exon usage and whole transcriptome expression analysis. The lab's primary goal is to provide expression microarray and DNA microarray services to BRI and VMMC investigators, but the Array Core Laboratory does offer array services to outside investigators as well. Equipment includes a GeneChip 3000 7G scanner and a GeneChip Fluidics Station 450.
