Joyce started in the Amemiya lab in 2011 after finishing her M.S. at San Diego State University, where she did her thesis on the genetic regulation of peripheral nervous system development in ascidians with Dr. Robert Zeller. In addition to BAC library generation, she investigates developmental processes in a variety of model organisms using microscopy and molecular biology approaches.
