Join athletes from all around the Pacific Northwest in the BRI Triathlon at Seafair, Sunday, July 20, at Seward Park. In 2007, a record 2,200 adults and nearly 400 children participated in the event which includes a kids triathlon. The course offers an incredible experience for athletes of all ability levels with a ½ mile swim, a 12 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run.
All donations from the event will go to support autoimmune disease research of Type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis at BRI. These three devastating, chronic diseases, affect more than four million Americans. Athletes can support family members and friends who are battling these diseases by wearing a “Racing in Honor Of” color-coded wristband. The wristbands will be available at the Triathlon Expo at BRI and at the event. Each person raising $100 or more in pledges for BRI will be entered into a drawing to win two Southwest Airlines tickets to any scheduled destination. A total of three names will be drawn.
